2018 Game Day Staff Employment Opportunities

Available Positions - Summer 2018
Beverage Pourer - assists with pouring of draft beer and other alcoholic beverages. Must be 21 years or older & possess Washington State Liquor Control Board Class 12 mixologist permit.
Beverage Cashier - assists with the responsible sales of alcohol, and with pouring when needed. Must be 21 years or older & possess Washington State Liquor Control Board Class 12 mixologist permit.
Bells Towne (Merchandise Sales) - oversees operations of team merchandise store, including customer service, cash management and inventory management. Must be 18 years or older - previous customer service experience preferred.
Food & Beverage Cashier - assists fans with food & beverage orders at the Joe Martin Field concession stand. Also assists with other food & beverage related tasks as needed. Must be 16 years or older & possess Washington State Department of Health Food Worker Card.
Food & Beverage Runner - assists in filling food & beverage orders at the Joe Martin Field concession stand. Also assists with other food & beverage related tasks as needed. Must possess Washington State Department of Health Food Worker Card.
Food & Beverage Food Prep - assists in cooking and preparing food items at the Joe Martin Field concession stand. Also assists with other food & beverage related tasks as needed. Must possess Washington State Department of Health Food Worker Card.
Guest Services - assists with various tasks on game day including but not limited to greeting fans, distributing promotional materials and giveaways, assisting with catered group events and attending to ballpark cleanliness/fan safety.
Mascot (Dinger) - performs nightly as "Dinger," the official mascot of the Bellingham Bells. Must be willing to work 3-4 hours nightly wearing a heavy suit in warm conditions. Previous mascot experience or theatre/drama background preferred.
Official Scorekeeper - keeps official home books (digital format) for all Bells' home games. Must have prior experience keeping a baseball scorebook and excellent knowledge of the rules of baseball.
On-Field Emcee - acts as the official "on-field host" of Bells games. Interacts with fans on-field and narrates inning promotions and other in-game promotions. Previous experience speaking in front of large groups or theatre/drama background preferred.
Promotions Assistant - assists Promotions Coordinator execute on-field inning promotions and works to engage fans throughout game. Also assists with guest services as needed. Previous experience with athletics marketing preferred.
Scoreboard Operator - operates the Joe Martin Field scoreboard and records hits, runs and errors on an inning-by-inning basis. Must have previous knowledge of the rules of baseball and comfort level operating Windows-based technology.
Security - helps to keep Joe Martin Field fans safe on a nightly basis. Responsibilities include assistance with crowd control and alcohol enforcement, as well as assistance in attending to medical related incidents. Must be 18 years or older.
Ticket Sales - assists with ticket sales at Joe Martin Field. Role will include assisting customers with ticket sales (including handling cash & credit card transactions) and will call transactions (assisting customers to pick up pre-purchased tickets.)
Wait Staff - assists with food & beverage service to dugout box seat patrons, as well as sales of food & beverage within the Joe Martin Field seating areas (hawking). Must be 18 years or older and possess Washington State Liquor Control Board Class 12 or 13 mixologist permit.
The Bellingham Bells are a summer collegiate, wood bat baseball team and a member of the West Coast League. During the months of June, July & August, the Bells compete in a 57-game season, playing home games at Joe Martin Field in Bellingham and traveling to compete with other WCL teams in Washington, Oregon and British Columbia. The Bells strive to contribute to a strong and vibrant community through affordable, family-friendly entertainment.
