2021 Game Day Health & Safety Protocols

The Bellingham Bells have worked with the City of Bellingham and the Whatcom County Health Department, as well as the State of Washington, to identify the best practices to ensure fan safety when visiting Haggen Diamond at Joe Martin Field. In preparation for the 2021 season, the Bells have outlined protective measures that will be implemented around Joe Martin Field with the intention of providing a safe & comfortable game day experience for staff, players and fans when attending a Bells game.

The Bells will continue to follow the guidance of state and local health officials, as well as the West Coast League, while continuously monitoring and developing implemented measures. As new information is released, the Bells will update this web page and social media while revisiting different restrictions at the stadium in adherence with the set guidelines.

  • Masks are optional for fully vaccinated individuals. We ask fans who are not yet fully vaccinated to wear a mask any time they are in the concourse and while they are in their seat not eating or drinking.
  • Social Distancing will be in effect. Fans will be asked to practice social distancing while shopping at the Bells Team Store, on the concourse and in restroom areas. Fans should remain in their assigned seats when possible.

  • Some seating areas will be socially distanced. Adhering with guidelines set by the State of Washington, all Joe Martin Field seating (with the exception of vaccinated sections) will be socially distanced. All seats in all sections will be assigned to assure proper social distancing throughout the park.
  • No outside food or drink will be allowed. As has been the case in seasons past, outside food and drink are not allowed into Joe Martin Field (in accordance with our Washington State Liquor & Cannabis and Whatcom County Health Department Food Serving Permit). Empty water bottles will be allowed for filling once you enter the stadium.

  • Bags are allowed. All bags are subject to search at the front gate. Liquids of any kind, outside food or beverage, alcohol, noisemakers, weapons and other items as addressed on our fan rules & regulations page, are not allowed.
  • Enhanced ballpark cleaning practices will be in place to keep fans, staff and personnel safe. Hand Sanitizing stations will be easily accessible and public bathrooms will adhere to social distancing protocols. We encourage all fans, staff and personnel to wash their hands frequently when at Joe Martin Field.

  • All tickets for Bellingham Bells home games will be available EXCLUSIVELY online at www.bellstickets.com. Purchasing in advance is highly recommended, availability will be very limited. The Bells ticket office at Joe Martin Field will open on the days of all home games, Monday – Saturday at 3:30 p.m. and Sundays at 10:00 a.m. No printed tickets will be available but the ticket office will be able to assist with ticket transfers, ticketing questions and voucher redemption. Call the Front Office at 360-527-1035 if you have additional questions or concerns.
  • For the 2021 season, cash will not be accepted at Joe Martin Field. All point of sales will accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express & Discover. Opting for cashless transactions will help minimize staff-to-fan cross-contamination.
