Employment Information

The Bellingham Bells are in search of a full-time Corporate Partnership & Operations Manager. This position will be responsible for helping to drive team revenue through corporate partnership, specifically sponsorship and group event outings. The ideal candidate will have experience and interest in business to business sales, as well as the ability to assist with operations and management throughout the organization.

Sponsorship Sales. Lead the charge for corporate sponsorship sales, with particular focus on active prospecting for new sponsorship sales opportunities. Continually work to generate new leads and opportunities through cold call blocks, community networking and other focused prospecting. Keep accurate records of all sales activity in CRM. Perform follow-up, close sales and execute sponsorship components.

Group Sales. Drive team’s group sales efforts, working with other sales representatives to meet or exceed company financial goals for this segment. Work with current book of business to renew outings for upcoming season, and also prospect for new business, through cold calls, networking & focused prospecting. Coordinate all details related to group events. Directly responsible for day-of-event execution and management.

Sponsorship Outreach & Experience. Lead efforts for prospective & current sponsor outreach, including the planning & execution of in-season and out-of-season events for prospective sponsors at the ballpark. Work to heighten sponsorship experience at the ballpark by creating game day experience and opportunities for active sponsors. Serve as sponsor liaison on day of games, helping to create a memorable experience for sponsors and their guests.

Operational Support. Assist general manager with key company initiatives such as game day operations and management, the Bellingham Bells internship program, special events and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Willingness and ability to work a varying range of hours, evenings and weekends.
  • Competitive spirit and interest/ability to work in a high call volume sales environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the sports industry
  • At least (1) year of business to business sales experience

Compensation:

  • Base salary, commission, and bonus opportunities

The Bellingham Bells are a summer collegiate, wood bat baseball team and a member of the West Coast League.  During the months of June, July & August, the Bells compete in a 57-game season, playing home games at Joe Martin Field in Bellingham and traveling to compete with other WCL teams in Washington, Oregon and British Columbia. The Bells strive to contribute to a strong and vibrant community through affordable, family-friendly entertainment.
