O’Rourke and Beitel Impress in Bells Victory

Bellingham, Wash. — Bells right-handers Tommy O’Rourke and Ryan Beitel combine for 10 strikeouts and only one walk in 3-1 win against the Ridgefield Raptors on Friday.

The Bells jolted ahead in the first when Cole Hinkelman launched a two-run home run over the right field wall that brought home Nick McLain from third.

Ridgefield scored its only run of the game in the fourth when Coby Morales knocked a single-run home run on the first pitch of the inning.

Cody Schrier added to the Bellingham lead in the sixth when he roped a one-run home run over left centerfield and gave the Bells a 3-1 lead.

O’Rourke was credited with the win and Beitel earned the save. Ridgefield started Brock Gilis was tagged with the loss.

This was the first time the Ridgefield Raptors organization visited Joe Martin Field in Bellingham. The Raptors inaugural season was 2019.

Game two of the three game series is set for 6:35 p.m. Saturday. Listen to all the action at 989KBAY.com
