Ed Knaggs

HEAD COACH

It was announced on September 24th that Ed Knaggs would be taking on the role of Head Coach for the Bellingham Bells in the 2025 season.

Knaggs spent 13 years as the Head Coach of the Wenatchee AppleSox from 2001 to 2014, and five seasons as the Associate Head Coach of the Corvallis Knights from 2018 to 2019 and 2022 to 2024.

During his tenure with the AppleSox, Knaggs posted a winning record every season. He led Wenatchee to five West Coast League championships (2005, 2006, 2009, 2010, 2012) and two runner-up finishes (2008, 2013). Knaggs also won five division championships and was named WCL Coach of the Year four times before retiring after the 2014 season. Overall, he coached 771 total games and compiled a 300-172 (.636) record in WCL regular-season contests. Wenatchee also won the 2003 Pacific International League title, which was the precursor to the current WCL.

Prior to his coaching career, Knaggs played at College of the Canyons under former USC and UC Irvine coach Mike Gillespie, and at UC Irvine under Steve Hertz. He was an assistant coach at Gonzaga under Hertz for seven years before moving to Wenatchee to become the head coach at Wenatchee High School from 1991 to 2011.
