Stephanie Morrell

PRESIDENT & GM

Morrell joined the Bellingham Bells in October 2013 as the team’s Marketing Director. She was named General Manager in January 2016 and President & GM in November 2024. The 2025 season will be her 12th with the team. Morrell has been named West Coast League Executive of the Year twice (2021, 2024).

In her role with the Bells, Morrell oversees all team operations, with particular involvement in long-range planning, community relations, baseball operations, and sponsorship/partnership relations.

Beyond her work with the Bells, Morrell serves as a commissioner on the City of Bellingham’s Tourism Commission and is a member of Bellingham’s Lodging Tax Advisory Committee. She also sits on the board of directors for Whatcom Educational Credit Union (WECU) and the Bellingham Public Schools Foundation.

Morrell lives in Bellingham with her husband Andy and their six-year-old daughter, Sydney.

John Ayre

ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER

Ayre joined the Bellingham Bells in November 2020. 2025 will be his fifth season with the team. A sports industry veteran, Ayre has worked with a number of teams, including the Bakersfield Condors, Bellingham Blazers, and Bellingham FC United. Prior to joining the Bells, he served as the Director of Sales & Marketing for the Holiday Inn & Suites in Bellingham.

In his role with the Bells, Ayre works closely with team sponsors and group event partners. He also represents the Bells throughout the Whatcom County community at various groups, organizations, and events. Ayre currently serves as a Board Member for the United Way of Whatcom County.

Hayley McGee

OPERATIONS & MARKETING MANAGER

Hayley McGee joined the Bellingham Bells full-time in July 2023 after spending a year at Western Washington University Athletics as their Interim Director of Marketing. McGee, a graduate of WWU, was a marketing intern with the Bells during the 2021 season and served as a seasonal employee from 2022 to 2023 before filling the full-time role of Marketing and Operations Coordinator. McGee was promoted to Marketing & Operations Manager in fall 2024.

In her current position with the Bells, McGee oversees the operations of many key initiatives, including camps, community outreach, ticketing, and managing all of the team’s social media channels.

Kelsey Hackem

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Hackem joined the Bellingham Bells in March 2024 as the team’s Special Events Coordinator. In this role, she led the planning efforts for the 2024 West Coast League All-Star Game, which was hosted by the Bells at Joe Martin Field and broadcast live on MLB Network.

In November 2025, Hackem was promoted to Director of Operations. In this expanded role, she will assist with overall team operations and game day management, while continuing to oversee special events. Hackem will also lead the Bells’ expanded efforts in youth baseball outreach throughout Whatcom and Skagit counties.

Halle Noel

MARKETING & OPERATIONS ASSISTANT

Halle Noel joined the Bellingham Bells in April of 2024 as a marketing intern before transitioning into a new role with the team in March of 2025. A 2025 graduate of Western Washington University, Noel was a student-athlete throughout her time at WWU, having played soccer there for all four years. In her current position with the Bells, Noel contributes to content creation for the team’s social media, direct email campaigns, and scoreboard operations. She also assists in coordinating game promotions and community appearances, helping to create a dynamic and engaging experience for fans both at the ballpark and throughout the community.
