Bells Begin 2022 Roster Announcements with Three Returning Pitchers
The Bells are excited to announce a trio of pitchers that will be returning from the 2021 roster. RHP Hunter Alberini, RHP Ryan Beitel and RHP Trevin Hope will play a vital role in 2022.
Alberini appeared in 12 games last summer and threw 22 innings. He posted an ERA of 1.22 and was third on the Bells pitching staff in strikeouts with 36 – behind Eric Chavarria (41) and Trevin Hope (37).
“Hunter is a talented young pitcher with incredible potential,” Bells general manager Stephanie Morrell said. “He was a big part of the success our team had in 2021 and really bolstered the Bells bullpen. We can’t wait to see him continue to progress in 2022.”
Alberini will take the mound for Umpqua Community College this spring with plans to explore four-year transfer options for the 2023 season.
Beitel also appeared in 12 games for the Bells and ended the season with a 1.53 ERA in 29.1 innings pitched.
“Ryan is a phenomenal competitor,” Morrell said. “An amazing teammate and a very talented athlete. Coming off a missed collegiate season, he made tremendous strides during the 2021 Bells season and got better and better every time he made an outing. Having Ryan return to the Bells is a huge benefit for us in every way – both in the bullpen and in the locker room. This is a guy who is beloved by our Bells community, and we can’t wait to have him back!”
Beitel is entering his first year of eligibility with the University of British Columbia this spring.
Local pitcher, Trevin Hope from Blaine, Washington committed to Lewis-Clark State College in the middle of last season with the Bells and will enter his junior year with the Warriors this spring.
Hope appeared in 12 games with the Bells last season and started seven. He registered the second-most innings pitched with 34.
“Trevin Hope is a known commodity to many, having grown up in Whatcom County,” Morrell said. “It was a pleasure to have Trevin join us in 2021 and we were excited he would return this season. Trevin gives our pitching staff important depth and flexibility, having had experience as a starter and a reliever in 2021. We are looking forward to having Trevin back with the Bells this summer!”
It’s Game Time!
