Bells Welcome Pitchers from UC Santa Barbara and Saint Mary’s
The Bells are excited to welcome a pair of pitchers from the University of California – Santa Barbara and a southpaw from Saint Mary’s College to the 2022 roster.
Right handers Brady Huddlestun and Ryan Gallagher are both freshman at UCSB and are from the Sacramento area.
“We are very much looking forward to having Ryan and Brady represent the Gauchos this summer in Bellingham,” Bells head coach Adam Geaslen said.
Huddlestun is 6-foot, 195-pounds and transferred from Folsom Lake College after the 2021 season. He was a multi-sport athlete at Folsom High School where he graduated in 2020.
“Huddlestun is a solid right-hander that commands both sides of the plate and possesses a plus breaking ball,” Geaslen said.
Gallagher graduated from Granite Bay High School in 2021 and stands at 6-foot-3, 195-pounds. He also played multiple sports in high school and has experience at first base.
“Gallagher is a high-volume strike thrower with a 3-pitch mix that consistently shows the ability to miss bats,” Geaslen said.
Left-handed pitcher Owen Cuffe is entering his first season with the Saint Mary’s Gaels as a sophomore and is also from the Sacramento region.
Cuffe graduated from Del Oro High School in 2020 and spent one season at Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas., before transferring to Saint Mary’s.
“A talented left-handed starter that does a fantastic job of setting the tone for the club with his competitive nature and ability to pound the strike zone,” Geaslen said. “We look for Owen to do great things at the top of our rotation.”
All three pitchers will add depth to the Bells bullpen this summer.
It’s Game Time!
