WECU, Bells Announce Expanded Partnership, Branding Agreement

The Bellingham Bells are excited to announce a new partnership with WECU that will adorn the Bells’ summer home “WECU Diamond at Joe Martin Field.” The partnership will prominently feature WECU’s logo at the historic facility during the 2022 & 2023 seasons and will include new signage throughout the park.

WECU and the Bells are both committed to serving the Whatcom County community and are excited to extend this partnership beyond just marketing and branding at the ballpark. During the duration of the partnership, WECU and the Bells plan to partner on service projects in the community and combine to provide scholarships for Bells camps at Joe Martin Field.

The partnership also comes with benefits for WECU members at the ballpark, including buy one get one free tickets (up to 4 total tickets per WECU debit or credit card) and a WECU family fireworks night planned for Saturday, July 23. WECU will also sponsor a Bells baseball giveaway for the first 500 kids 12 and under on Sunday, July 17 which will kick off WECU Member Appreciation Week.

“We are thrilled to be working with WECU on this exciting partnership,” Bells general manager Stephanie Morrell said. “WECU is a respected local brand, and we share similar values. We greatly appreciate their support and look forward to working with them on this partnership.”

WECU is a not-for-profit credit union that has been serving Whatcom County residents since 1936. With more than 142,000 members living primarily in Whatcom and Skagit County, WECU prides itself on giving back through low fees, great rates, charitable giving, and sponsorship of beloved community events.

“This expanded partnership with the Bells is a win all around,” said WECU Program Manager, PR & Content Keith Mader. “We’re able to support the Bells, who provide a valuable community amenity, we’re able to support the community through volunteerism and camp scholarships, and we’re able to provide discounted tickets throughout the season for WECU members. All of this made the partnership a no-brainer for the Credit Union.”
