Bellingham Bells sweep the Edmonton Riverhawks opening weekend!
Sun shining and balls flying, the Bellingham Bells end the weekend series with a sweep over the Edmonton Riverhawks. They are 3-0 on the season, with the game ending in a walk-off and a final score of 3-2.
Opening the afternoon on the mound for the Bells, Owen Murdock #10 from Sedro Wolley, Washington starts off strong, striking out 7 batters in the first three innings. With help behind the plate from catcher, Garner Christensen. Christensen also helped the Bells on the offensive end with a single and a walk. Other key players for the Bells on the offensive end were #23 Anthony Kodama, #34 Max Hartman, and #9 Cole Williams who each brought in a run for the Bells giving them their 3 runs for the afternoon.
Bellingham kept Edmonton no hit going into the fourth inning. And kept them to only five hits in the game with four runners left on base. Great defense all around for the Bells with no errors which later benefitted the Bells for their win against the Riverhawks.
