Ring ‘Em In
In tonight’s matchup of the Bellingham Bells and the Victoria HarbourCats the energy from the fans showed up as people ring their Bells throughout the entire game and helped the Bells come out victorious yet again winning the game 6-3. The Bells continue to show why they have the top spot in the WCL North League.
The Bellingham Bells had a rocky start, letting up three runs in the top of the first inning, but those runs left the Bells feeling down, but gave them the motivation for the rest of the game to fight and get back those runs and then some. Kadden Drew threw for the first four innings while staying strong through the difficult first inning. Following Drew, Tomas Urbina and Carter Parcher came in for the relief final five innings. Urbina struck out two while Parcher struck out four, neither of them letting up any runs. Combined the pitching staff had seven strikeouts.
Even with the great pitching, the real star of the show was the offense. Lead by Andrew Valdez who went 2-for-4 four with two RBI’s. Valdez has the highest batting average for the Bells with a BA of .373 as of June 25th. The Bells had a rough start but managed to pick it up in the sixth and the seventh inning where they scored five of the six runs. Yohan Dessureault and Daryl Ruiz both had an RBI to help contribute to the win. Anthony Kodama had three at bats, two walks, one hit, and a stolen base.
Family fun day at the park tomorrow, June 25th as the Bells and the HarbourCats have their final match up at 1:05 P.M. at Joe Martin Field. Go Bells!
