Bells looking to end their losing streak
In last nights game against the Ridgefield Raptors the Bellingham Bells took the loss 4-2. Although the Bells had the same amount of hits as the Raptors (7) the Bells were unable to complete it and score them.
Starting on the mound for the Bells was Isaac Yeager, Yeager threw 3.1 innings and allowed two hits, 3 walks, 2 runs scored, and had three strikeouts. While Yeager kept the Raptors to two runs Carter Parcher came in to relieve and also allowed two runs to score, but that was all the Raptors were able to get off the Bells pitching staff for the evening. Sheldon Egger and Hunter Long came in later in the game in the 5th and 7th inning. Long allowed one hit, while Egger allowed none. Closing for the Bells was Tomas Urbina. Urbina threw the ninth inning, had one strikeout, one walk, and allowed one hit. The Bells field tonight had four errors that arguably lost them the game.
Offensively the Bells racked up seven hits, with two doubles, one by Colten Bower and one by Coleman Schmidt. Another player who produced offensively was Cole Yoshida. Yoshida had four at bats with two hits. Anthony Kodama had an RBI as well as Schmidt. Unfortunately the Bell’s seven hits were not enough to take the win.
The Bells look to take the final game from the Raptors tonight at 6:35 P.M. at Joe Martin Field. Go Bells!
It’s Game Time!
