Three Stanford players headed to Bellingham
BELLINGHAM, WA — Friday, February 6, the Bellingham Bells announced the additions of three Stanford ball players to the 2026 roster. Pitcher David Wiser, catcher Dillon Moss and shortstop Tyler Spangler are headed to Bellingham this summer.
David Wiser joins the Bellingham Bells pitching staff this summer as a six-foot-three right-handed pitcher from Elk Grove, CA. The Bradshaw Christian High School alum is entering his freshman season at Stanford as the #20 right-handed pitcher in California for his 2025 class.
Wiser helped the Pride win two NorCal state titles in his prep career and racked up two All-Sierra Valley league first team selections. In his senior season he tossed 18.2 innings with a perfect 3-0 record and an impressive 0.38 ERA.
The young Cardinal is already tossing a fastball up to 95 miles per hour and mixes in a slider and changeup for a three-pitch mix. Wiser joins a stacked Bellingham Bells pitching staff that historically is one of the WCL’s best every season.
Dillons Moss is a catcher who bats right handed and is in his senior year at IMG Academy before attending Stanford in Fall 2026. Moss is from Atherton, Calif., but travelled across the country to attend the prep school IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
Moss is one of the top catchers in his 2026 class and a top-100 prospect overall. He’s participated in the Perfect Game National Showcase, All-American Classic and Jr. National Showcase.
His talent runs in the family, as his brother Dean Moss was drafted 67th in the 2025 MLB Draft to the Tampa Bay Rays. This summer he’ll be behind the plate at Joe Martin Field as one of the Bells catchers for the 2026 season.
Tyler Spangler is an exciting prospect at De La Salle High School and from Danville, Calif. Spangler has a commitment to Stanford for the fall, but he’s already climbing the 2026 MLB Draft boards as a six-foot-three shortstop.
His lefty bat and large frame has drawn Corey Seager comparisons throughout his prep career with the Spartans. He enters his senior season at De La Salle after being the Metro Player of the Year as a junior as selected by the San Francisco Chronicle.
Spangler has already performed on the big stage at the MLB’s High School All-American Game at Dodger Stadium last summer and he’s participated at the Area Code Games and Perfect Game National Showcase and All-American Classic. This summer he’ll look to impress in the West Coast League while possibly hearing his name called in June.
The Bells open the 2026 season on the road March 29 at Kelowna but host Wenatchee for the home opener on June 2 at 6:35 p.m.
It’s Game Time!
