Six wins in a row for Bellingham
BELLINGHAM — The Bellingham Bells continued to roll with an 8-2 victory over the Kamloops NorthPaws on Saturday, June 20 at Joe Martin Field. The Bells have scored eight or more runs in each of their last six wins and claimed a series victory over Kamloops tonight.
Mason Goodson debuted on the mound and had four scoreless innings where he struck out three batters and didn’t allow a walk. Kole Laubach followed for two scoreless frames, which earned him the win in his debut.
Bellingham’s offense got the scoring started early with a two-run first inning after Jake Lyall scored on a passed ball and Noad Cassie doubled the lead with an RBI single.
The Bells broke the game open with a five-run third inning after Cassie got the scoring started in the frame on his second RBI single of the game. Bryce Johnson had an RBI groundout to make it 4-0. Dillon Moss doubled in two runs and he scored on a wild pitch to make it 7-0.
Jaden Jackson singled home a run in the fifth inning and Bellingham led 8-0. Zach Elsos pitched the seventh inning in relief and had a scoreless inning. Everett Swaim surrendered two runs to the NorthPaws in the eighth, but Thrasher Steed locked down the win in the ninth with a 1-2-3 frame.
