BELLINGHAM — A 6-2 win over the Edmonton Riverhawks capped a 36-18 regular season for the Bellingham Bells. The 2026 record is the second-highest win total in team history only trailing the 2014 championship team that went 37-17. 

The Bells eliminated the Riverhawks from playoff contention with the series win, finishing the year with back-to-back victories. Noah Cassie teed off the first run of the game with a 344-foot solo home run in the first inning.

Bellingham’s starter Cole Anderson allowed one hit and two walks, but went on to pitch three scoreless frames while striking out two batters. The Bells doubled their lead on an error in the second inning that allowed Dillon Moss to score.

Connor Moffitt debuted in the fourth inning on the mound and would earn the win pitching three frames of relief without allowing a run. He walked one and allowed four hits while recording two punch outs.

Cal Young tossed a scoreless seventh, working around one walk with two strikeouts. After the seventh-inning stretch, Cassie launched his second home run of the night. His 395-foot blast was a three-run home run that made it 5-0.

Gavin Hasche continued the shutout in the eighth allowing only one walk and picking up two strikeouts. Rominic Quiban joined the home run party with a solo shot in the bottom of the eighth to make it 6-0. Thrasher Steed allowed Edmonton’s two runs in the ninth, but capped the win on a strikeout.

Cassie led the Bells with four RBI on his two home runs, which were the seventh and eighth on the season for him. Quiban recorded three hits with two singles and a home run. Bellingham totaled 10 hits on offense and carries a two-game win streak into the postseason.

Bellingham earned the No. 2 seed in the West Coast League playoffs and will begin the postseason at Nanaimo for Game 1 against the NightOwls on Friday night.
