Bells add Trio of Right-Handers from USC
BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The Bells are excited to welcome three right handers from USC to the 2022 pitching staff.
Redshirt sophomore Kyle Wisch began his collegiate career with the University of Nebraska in 2020 and only made one relief appearance before the season ended. He has since transferred to the University of Southern California and in his second season with the Trojans.
“Kyle is an experienced and reliable strike-thrower out of the pen,” Bells head coach Adam Geaslen said. “We look for him to be a valuable arm in tight ball games this summer.”
Wisch graduated from Hinsdale Central High School in his hometown of Clarendon Hills, Illinois.
While in high school, he threw a no-hitter as a freshman and was ranked the No.13 right hander in the state his senior year of 2019 by Perfect Game.
Sophomore RHP Tyler Stromsborg graduated from Norte Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, Calif. As a junior, he pitched a 1.50 ERA and a 6-0 record and was ranked the No. 19 pitcher in California by Perfect Game.
“Tyler is a top of the rotation workhorse,” Geaslen said. “With plus command of all his pitches. A polished right-hander that brings a high level of intensity to the mound.”
Sophomore RHP Nate Clow has been used both on the mound and in the field since high school. He graduated in 2020 from Todd Beamer High School in Federal Way, Wash., where he accumulated a .421 batting average and a 1.25 ERA in four years.
“Nate is a true two-way player,” Geaslen said. “That we look to positively impact games from the middle infield and at the back end of the bullpen.
Clow was the No.1 ranked player in Washington out of high school and the No. 22 shortstop in the nation by Perfect Game.
The Bells Opening Day is May 31, 2022, against the Springfield Drifters at Joe Martin Field.
