“Take Me Out to Eat at the Ball Game!”
Written By: Merrick Parnell
Most know that a Bells’ baseball game pairs perfectly with great food. This season, Joe Martin Field (JMF) has a few new offerings for fans to enjoy while watching the Bells compete in the West Coast League (WCL).
JMF will be rolling out a few new items for fans to enjoy this season. New to this season, the park offers a larger ⅓ pound burger and vegetarian options like Impossible Burger. The burgers can also be dressed with new toppings and condiment offerings. Fans of crispy chicken sandwiches will be at home as they have added a delicious crispy chicken sandwich.
The most unique offering at Joe Martin Field this year may be a charcuterie cup and picnic-style charcuterie boxes that can be shared with fellow fans. For fans of nostalgic fair food, the Bells’ games will also have corn dogs.
Bells’ General Manager Stephanie Morrell wanted to ensure fans had many great offerings.
“This year, there was a sentiment of wanting more variety and higher quality burgers, so we tried to implement products that addressed those needs,” Morell said after getting fan feedback from previous years.
The classic JMF game staples will still be around, such as the fan favorite, Hempler Sausage, along with sausages, nachos, pretzels, and popcorn.
For the General Manager, she has some early personal favorites on the menu.
“I like the Impossible Burgers (I’m not a vegetarian – but they are delicious!) and the Crispy Chicken Sandwich as a variety to the nightly burger,” she exclaimed.
Fans can enjoy the food offerings all season long at Joe Martin Field during home games. A full game schedule and ticket information can be found on the stadium’s website, bellinghambells.com.
