The Bellingham Bells had 13 hits for six runs in a 6-0 victory against the Kelowna Falcons in game two of their three-game series at Elks Stadium in Kelowna, British Columbia.

Everything came together for the Bells to secure a series win against Kelowna on Saturday, June 15. Along with the 13 hits and six runs the Bells pitching staff allowed just one earned run.

Sheldon Egger delivered in his third start of the season going five innings and giving up just two hits and two walks. Egger struck out two batters but he allowed no earned runs for the second time this season and picked up his second win of the year to improve to 2-0.

The Bells struck first in the second inning when Conner Smith reached on an error by third baseman Ryan Degroot. After Smith stole second, he was sent home by Gabe Henderson who put a ball in play that resulted in another error by Degroot.

Smith would hit a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning that scored Jacob Mejia. Bryce Johnson immediately followed that with a line drive smoked into left field that allowed Kaikea Harrison to touch home. The final run came after Trent Mallonee stole second base and with the Falcons trying to throw Mallonee out, Johnson, who was at third base, stole home and gave the Bells a 4-0 lead exiting the fifth inning.

In the ninth inning the Bells would add two more runs. First they benefited from another Falcons error, this time by Christian Salazar in left field. Off the error Harrison, who was at third base, was able to score.

The final run of the game came when newly acquired outfielder from Edmonds College, Noah Albanese, hit a sacrifice fly that scored Smith who tagged up from third base. Albanese performed well in his debut as a Bellingham Bell. The sophomore outfielder will look to add to a talented outfield of Bells hitters.

The Bells bullpen tonight consisted of two innings by Marques Brown and two innings from Lane Simonsen. The two would allow a hit each and Brown struck out one with Simonsen striking out three.

With the victory, the Bells improved to 8-6 and earned a series win at Kelowna. The two teams will battle it out one last time tomorrow, June 16, at 6:05 p.m. at Elks Stadium in Kelowna, British Columbia. The Bells return home June 18-20 to play three games against the Kamloops NorthPaws.
