Bellingham, WA – The Bellingham Bells today announced several key promotions within the organization’s front office staff ahead of the 2025 season.

Stephanie Morrell has been promoted from General Manager to President/General Manager. Morrell first joined the Bells in 2013 and has played a critical role in the team’s success over the past eleven seasons. Under her leadership, the Bells have grown to one of the top draws in the West Coast League. While continuing to lead day-to-day operations, Morrell will oversee the direction and strategic growth of the Bells brand, as well as developing and building upon strategic partnerships and key community relationships. She will work closely with the Bells’ new Director of Operations, Kelsey Hackem.

“I continue to feel very fortunate to be leading the Bells,” Morrell said. “We have strong ownership, tremendous community support, and a front office team that’s second to none. The Bells continue to grow, and as we set our sights on many exciting goals and growth focus areas over the next three to five years, we felt like the time was right for me to transition into a new role where I could support our staff and the business from a more strategic level.”

Special Events Coordinator Kelsey Hackem, who championed the planning of the 2024 West Coast League All-Star Game, nationally televised on MLB Network, will move into an expanded role with the Bells. As the Bells’ new Director of Operations, Hackem will work closely with Morrell on operations and game day management, while continuing to oversee special events. Hackem will also lead expanded efforts in youth baseball outreach throughout Whatcom and Skagit counties.

“Kelsey is an incredible addition to our already amazing team,” Bells’ General Manager Stephanie Morrell said. “She makes us better and increases our capacity to grow the Bells and enhance the experience for our community.”

Hayley McGee has been promoted from Marketing & Operations Coordinator to Marketing & Operations Manager. After two seasons with the team, McGee will now take an expanded leadership role in the formation of the team’s marketing, promotions, and community engagement initiatives.

“Hayley really makes a lot of magic happen,” Morrell said. “Her attention to detail and high standards for excellence are behind many special experiences at the ballpark. Hayley has raised the bar with her well-planned, well-executed community programs and marketing campaigns, and I can’t wait to see what she will contribute in her new role.”

“Kelsey and Hayley have both played integral roles in enhancing the fan experience at Bellingham Bells games,” Morrell said. “Their passion, creativity, and strong work ethic have been invaluable, and we are excited to see them take on these new responsibilities.”
