Bellingham ends the series with a win!
The Bellingham Bells ended their losing streak tonight, with a win over the Ridgefield Raptors! After hard work and persistence the long stretch against Ridgefield, the Bells pull through with a series ending win of 3-2.
Will Armbruester was the winning pitcher tonight. He threw five innings, had six strikeouts, allowed one hit and only one walk before exiting the game. Armbruester has had a strong season so far, with three wins and one loss under his belt. Armbruester attends Arizona State University where last season he had an ERA of 3.86. For the Bells this season Armbruester has an ERA of 2.34. Following Armbruester, Gianluca Shinn came in for a couple innings and was able to have twos strikeouts and allowed no hits and no runs. The Bells kept the Raptors scoreless until the final inning. John Pfeffer allowed two runs off of three walks. But not to worry, as the Bells were still up by three. Nathan Van Beek came in to close and struck out one.
The Bells out hit the Raptors tonight by getting nine hits. Riley Parker had three at bats with two hits and one RBI. Parker is hitting a .227, with nine singles and a double on the season so far. The other RBI’s came from Yohann Desserault and current home run leader, Andrew Valdez. Other highlights from the offense were Brady Reynolds and Coleman Schmidt’s doubles and Andrew Valdez’s triple.
After coming off a win last night the Bells look forward to playing again tonight. Bellingham faces Nanaimo tonight at 6:35 P.M..
