The Bells are excited to announce the additions of RHP Ryan Scott and Utility/Shortstop Jo Stevens to the 2022 roster.
Scott is a redshirt freshman at Yavapai College in Prescott, Ariz. where he is making his return to the mound after two and a half seasons recovering from injury.
“Ryan is an exciting player we’ve known about for some time,” Bells general manager Stephanie Morrell said. “He is making his way back from a tough bout with injuries but we are excited to see him rise to his potential this summer and get back on the mound.”
He graduated from Langley Secondary High School in Quispamsis, New Brunswick, Canada in 2019 and was committed to Sacramento State University. He attended Sacramento State for one season in 2020 and did not see any playing time because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Jo Stevens is a 2020 graduate of St. Leo’s Catholic College (secondary day school) in Sydney, Australia. At St. Leo’s, he earned MVP, batting champion and gold glove honors with a batting average of .678 and no errors.
“Jo is known for being a player who can flat out hit,” Morrell said. “He’s a guy who will make things happen and find a way to get on base. We are very excited to have him as part of this summer’s roster.”
Stevens is currently a sophomore at Yavapai College and batting .333.
The Bells Opening Day is May 31, 2022, against the Springfield Drifters at Joe Martin Field.
