We are back for another week of the Bells roundup. Opening day in the MLBs is just 15 days away; College baseball is starting to heat up and we are here to keep you in the loop surrounding our former and current Bellingham Bells. Lets see what happened this week in baseball.
Tom Poole 💣
He may have only worn the Bells uniform last season for four games but the power hitting first baseman hit two home runs for the Bells last summer. For Dallas Baptist University this season, he has hit three home runs in 15 games and crushed this baseball against the Ragin' Cajuns of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette

Alex Fernandes' 15 game on base streak
A 2022 Bellingham Bells alum and a current San Jose St. Spartan, Alex Fernandes has reached base in all 15 games he has played in this season. He is among the leaders in Division I for batting average, ranking it the top 25 with a .468 with 22 hits. Fernandes had only 27 hits last season with Memphis so his senior year is looking like a career one.
Alex Fernandes extends his on-base streak to 15 games with a single in the 4th inning 🔥

Stanford baseball is on 🔥
This week Stanford broke into the NCAA Top 25 at number 18 and a few former Bellingham Bells are part of the reason why. In the two upset wins over #4 UNC, Brady Reynolds, a 2023 Bells alum, tallied three hits and four runs scored with one run batted in. Charlie Bates, a 2024 Bells alum, drove in two runs on a double in the March 7 13-9 win over UNC to open the series. Trevor Moore, a 2023 Bells alum, pitched three innings in the March 7 win without allowing a run and striking out four from the Cardinal bullpen.

Ivan Rodriguez tosses a CG shutout
The future Bellingham Bell Ivan Rodgriguez tossed a seven inning shutout against Cal Poly Pomona on March 8. The right-handed pitcher is set to join the Bells pitching staff this summer. This was Rodriguez's best performance of the season, punching out seven batters to zero walks and only allowing three hits.
RV @CSUSB_Baseball takes a 2-1 series lead after
Ivan Rodriguez's CG shutout with 7 strikeouts. Usually the bats are the reason the Yotes have success (hitting .360 as a team prior to tonight's game), but tonight it was the Sophomore right hander who got the job done.Series… pic.twitter.com/gORNzu5x5C

KPUG and Austin Shenton
Whatcom County's ESPN radio, KPUG (AM 1170, FM 97.3), travelled down to Spring Training and caught up with Seattle Mariner and former Bellingham Bell Austin Shenton. Shenton is from Bellingham and went to Bellingham High School, this offseason he was traded from the Tampa Bay Rays back to the team that drafted him in the fifth round of the 2019 draft, the Seattle Mariners.
