It's almost Opening Day for the MLB and college baseball is about halfway through. That means we have a lot to share with you for this week's Bells roundup. Lets see what's going on with our alumni and future Bellingham Bells.

Colton Bower hits a 💣 and shines on defense

Colton Bower hit his fifth home run of the season in the University of Washington's first home Big Ten Conference win. Bower is having a great redshirt sophomore season batting .274 and providing excellent defense behind the dish.

Daryl Ruiz wins CCAA Player of the Week

Ruiz hit .563 from March 17-23 by going 9-for-16 with three doubles, two home runs, and seven RBI while not striking out once at the plate. Ruiz is tied for the CCAA lead in batting average with a .433. He is first in the conference in on-base and slugging percentages and RBI.

Gianluca Shinn's shuts the 🚪

Gianluca Shinn picked up his first career save with TCU by gaining the final out of a 4-3 win over The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Shinn transferred to TCU from the University of Washington and has made eight bullpen appearances this season. The left-handed pitcher is in his final collegiate season and is looking to finish strong with the Horned Frogs.

Max Hartman is playing out of his mind

We've talked about Max Hartman a lot this year, but it would be a disservice to not remind you that Max Hartman is having a remarkable junior season. The lefty hitter just had a 17-game hitting streak end on March 25 but Hartman is still batting .383 with three home runs. Two of his three home runs this season came this week in back-to-back games against SDSU.
