Incoming Texas A&M Corpus-Christi Players for 2023 Season
The Bellingham Bells are excited to announce new players from Texas A&M Corpus-Christi. RHP James Trimble and LHP Zach Garcia join the Bells this summer.
Trimble had a prolific senior year at Ball High School in Galveston, Texas being named his team’s MVP, as well as earning First Team All-League and First Team All-District honors. Trimble has appeared in four games and made one start so far as a freshman, accumulating 6.2 innings pitched.
“James Trimble is a hard-throwing RHP, who has a good slider, and a change-up as his secondary pitches.” Bells head coach Jim Clem said. “He’s currently a freshman and is gaining some in-game experience as a reliever and as a starter this spring. He’s a tremendous young man, who will be a great addition to our staff!”
Garcia ended the 2022 season as the Southland Conference Freshman of the Year while also earning SLC All-Conference Second-Team honors. He collected the lowest ERA on the team at 3.86 with a team-high of six wins.
“Zach Garcia is a talented LHP who was named a freshman “All-American” by Collegiate Baseball for his outstanding season in 2022.” Bells head coach Jim Clem said. “The past two years, Zach has been a starting pitcher at Corpus Christi, has pitched in some big games, and has some valuable experience under his belt. Zach has excellent stuff, and he competes well. We expect Zach to be a key pitcher on our staff this summer and are excited about what he brings to our team!”
The skills and energy these three bring to the Bells will be fun to watch all summer.
The Bells Opening Day is June 2, 2023 against the Edmonton Riverhawks at Joe Martin Field.
