Bio

After a year away to focus on family, Jim Clem returns to the Bellingham Bells as pitching coach for the 2025 season.

Clem spent 11 seasons with the Bells from 2011 to 2021 as pitching coach and recruiting coordinator. During that time, his pitching staffs were consistently among the league’s best, and two of his pitchers, Seth Martinez (2014) and Eric Chavarria (2021), were named West Coast League Pitcher of the Year. In 2023, Clem returned for one season as the team’s head coach/manager, leading the Bells to an incredible season that included the team being named the 2023 WCL North First Half Champions and clinching a playoff spot for the third season in a row.

Clem has long been recognized as a legendary area coach, and has been inducted into several Halls of Fame, including the WIAA Coaches Hall of Fame, the Washington State Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame, and the Central Washington University Athletics Hall of Fame.
