BELLINGHAM, WA — Monday, March 31, the Bellingham Bells announced the additions of two catchers to the 2025 roster. Andrew Lamb from USC and Bulla Ephan from Lewis-Clark State College both will defend home plate this summer.

Andrew Lamb is a 6-foot right-handed lefty batting catcher from USC. Lamb is a sophomore after making 11 starts as a freshman for the Trojans. This season Lamb is batting .300 in his five appearances for USC.

Lamb is from Coto De Caza in California where he attended JSerra Catholic High School. He exited high school as the 6th best catcher in the state according to Perfect Game but showed utility value with corner infield and outfield ability.

He has spent the last two summers playing in the Alaska League for the Anchorage Glacier Pilots and the Anchorage Bucs. In two summer seasons he hit .290 in 65 total games.

Throughout his career he has shown a great ability to take walks while also providing a bat that hit 14 doubles last summer.

Bulla Ephan is a 5-foot-11 catcher from Lewis-Clark State College. Ephan is a junior and has excelled with the Warriors in 48 career games. Last season he hit .345 and for his career he is a .357 hitter.

Not only does he hit the ball well, he also hits for power (.609 career slugging percentage) and has the ability to draw walks (.506 career on-base percentage). Ephan also provides the rare switch-hitter ability to swing from both sides of the plate.

Out of Kalaheo, Hawaii, Ephan has never played in the West Coast League. The Waimea High School alum will travel to Bellingham this summer where he will settle behind the dish for the Bells.

The Bells season begins May 30 in Nanaimo against the NightOwls and the Bells will play their first game at Joe Martin Field on June 3 against the Kamloops NorthPaws. Tickets go on sale TOMORROW April 1.
