With Bellingham’s 5-4 loss to Corvallis on Wednesday, August 7th, combined with the Wenatchee Applesox’s 5-0 win in Ridgeway, the Bells are officially eliminated from 2019 WCL playoffs contention.

Bells Standouts

Despite the loss, key players for Bellingham shined in the close game. Jake Gentry went 3-4 at the plate and scored a run, and Ethan Smith went 1-2 with 3 RBI. Troy Viola also added two hits and the fourth RBI for the Bells. John Kelly (5.1 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 6 K) held Corvallis scoreless through the first five innings, and Danny Garcia (2.0 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 5 BB) and Justin Tucker (1.2 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, 1 K) combined to finish the game.

Looking Forward 

Bellingham’s final home game of the 2019 season will be on Thursday, August 8th, against the Corvallis Knights. First pitch is set for 6:35 pm. It will be fan appreciation night, to give a big thank you to the best fans in the WCL. Th
