Bells on the road and take the first win
The Bellingham Bells have their first away series this weekend against the Nanaimo NightOwls and didn’t let up. On the NightOwls home field, the Bells came in hot and took the win scoring four runs and only allowing one for the NightOwls.
At the plate for the Bellingham Bells #27 Yohann Dessureault had a great night by producing half of the Bells total hits. He went 3-for-4 with a single, a double, a homerun, and scored twice. Alone, Dessureault had two of Bell’s four runs. Other highlights on the offensive night was Bellingham’s patience at the plate getting five free bases by the NightOwls pitching staff. Which helped to contribute to the the win. #36 Brady Reynolds walked to first base and in behind him on a passed ball was #34 Max Hartman who scored the first run of the game.
#24 Ryan Beital won the game with his five inning pitched and only allowing 3 hits and keeping his ERA to 0.00. Beital had seven strikeouts and two walks in 22 batters faced. His defense was strong behind him as the Bells had no errors. Bellingham’s closers were strong as well, #30 James Trimble threw only 19 pitchers and 15 for strikes and faced six batters and only let up one hit.
The Bells play another game against the NightOwls tonight June 10th at 6:35 p.m. away in Vancouver B.C.
