Sunday Fun Day! After three hard fought games under the sun, the Bellingham Bells came out victorious with three wins against the Victoria HarbourCats in a series at home. All weekend the Bells came out with their “A” game and it benefited in the end.

This afternoon’s game was led by Trevin Hope who had four strikeouts and only allowed one hit. Hope plays for Lewis and Clark State College and returned back to the pacific northwest to play for the Bellingham Bells for his summer league. In Hope’s debut he pitched for three innings and only had one walk. Hope keeps his ERA to 0.0. Pitching in the middle few innings today was, Ty Saunders, Wyatt Hall, and Luca Shinn. The three of them split four innings before Will Franklin, the closer, came in for the last two innings of the game. The entire pitching staff only allowed one run throughout the whole game. A star play in the outfield was a diving catch from Cole Schmidt in the fifth inning that was the first out. The Bells had a strong night on the defensive side with no errors, a double play, and constant hussle and urgency when going to get the ball and make plays.

Riley Parker had a solid night on offense, having one of the three hits and getting aboard twice by HBP. The other two hits came from Andrew Valdez and Max Hartman. Hartman had a double while Valdez had a single. And as per usual, the Bells were patient at the plate and gained three free bases off of walks.

The Bellingham Bells are away for the next week, with a couple different series. Next up they play the Edmonton Riverhawks at Re/max on June 27th, with a start time of 7:05 P.M.
