BELLINGHAM, WA — The Bellingham Bells have begun the announcement of their 2024 roster — with players spanning across the United States, from California to Texas to Illinois. 13 returning players are set to make their way back to Bellingham this summer.

Our first returner, Ryan Beitel, a right-handed pitcher, from the University of British Columbia (UBC), makes the 2024 season his fourth season with the Bells. Beitel was a consistent starter for the Bells in 2023, pitching over 39 innings and ERA of 1.60, and striking out 38 batters he faced.

“Headed into his fourth season with the Bells, Ryan embodies everything about the Bells culture and what we expect out of our student-athletes. He is hard-working, high character and extremely talented,” said Bells General Manager, Stephanie Morrell. “Ryan has proven to have great command and the ability to carry a lot of innings for the pitching staff. We couldn’t be happier to be welcoming him back for another summer and expect him to be a leader and essential member of this year’s team.”

Another UBC returner is Will Anderson. A late arrival, he appeared in two games during the 2023 season, pitching six innings and striking out six.

“In limited innings with the Bells last year, Will showed great promise. We are excited to welcome him back as a full-time member of this year’s pitching staff,” said Morrell. “Will is a tremendous young talent with a lot of potential. He has the ability to consistently throw strikes and keep hitters guessing and should be a great addition to the Bells bullpen this summer.”

Returning this summer is Will Franklin, a right-handed pitcher from Edmonds College. Franklin appeared in 10 games, pitching over 22 innings, recording a 0.39 ERA.

“Will had a fantastic summer with the Bells last year, emerging as one of the most consistent arms in the bullpen,” Morrell said. “He is known for his quality outings and ability to throw strikes regularly. Having Will return is very exciting for the Bells and we can’t wait to welcome him back to Bellingham!”

Our fourth returner for this week is Everett Swaim, a pitcher from Gonzaga University. Swaim appeared in 10 games and struck out 25 batters.

“We are extremely excited to have Everett returning to the Bells. Not only is he a strong arm who is continuing to develop, he represents our team very well and is a guy who is well respected in the clubhouse. Having Everett return to the Bells is a very positive thing for the 2024 roster and we can’t wait to have him back!” said Morrell

Each week we will be announcing more of the 2024 roster.
