Bells secure game two against the Kelowna Falcons
Another great night for the Bellingham Bells as they add onto their win streak, winning seven games straight. The Bellingham Bells worked hard on the offensive side as well as the defensive side, scoring three runs and having only one error. Although the Kelowna Falcons worked hard at the plate as well having eight hits, they were only able to score one run. Giving the Bells the win.
From Bow, Washington #12 Nathan Van Beek sets the game in motion with his pitching. Van Beek had a solid evening out on the mound throwing for four innings and letting up only five hits and striking out three batters for the Bells. One of strikeouts was Kelowna’s clean up hitter, #10 Konner Palmeira, who is currently batting .323 on the regular season. Van Beek proceeded to pitch well and only had one earned run come in while he was on the field. The Bells brought in three pitchers after pulling Van Beek. #26 Everett Swaim’s pitching appearance helped out the Bells by pitching one inning and having two strikeouts and no earned runs.
Just as the Bells were strong on the defensive side, they were also strong on the offensive side. Bellingham had five hits and scored three runs. #1 Andrew Valdez and #23 Anthony Kodama fail to disappoint, togther having three of the five hits. Their teammates at the bottom on the line up, #33 Coleman Schmidt, #25 Kyle Parkman, and #7 Ty Saunders, each helped with scoring runs. Kodama, Parkman, and Saunders each batted in a run, giving the Bells their three runs on the night.
The Bells appreciate each and every one of their fans coming out to support them on their 2023 season. If you haven’t had a chance to come out this season, the Bells play the Kelowna Falcons again June 15th, at 6:35 P.M. and have two games against different teams this weekend ( Saturday and Sunday) at Joe Martin Field.
