Bells Pitching Limits Raptors offense to One Run

Ridgefield, Wash. — The Bells used four arms that combined for 16 strikeouts in their 7-1 victory against the Ridgefield Raptors on Tuesday.

Bells catcher Charlie Saum ignited the offense early with a three-run home run over the right field wall, into the Bells bullpen, that gave Bellingham a 3-0 lead in the top of the first.

RHP Eric Chavarria got things started on the mound and went three innings, gave up three hits and struck out four.

LHP Ryan Sanders went the next two innings and posted five strikeouts. Sanders allowed the only Raptors run in the bottom of the fourth inning when outfielder Tafton Hensley hit a single home run into right center field.
