Starting off the away series strong with a win against the Edmonton Riverhawks the Bellingham Bells rack up six doubles out of the 13 hits that they had. 

Being on the road comes with the advantage of jumping on the pitching first. And the Bells did just that. Dean West led things off for the Bells, in his first appearance of the night West had a single and was able to advance to scoring position at second base which was made by an error from the pitcher. Luckily he had some strong bats behind him. Max Hartman putout to the first baseman on a line drive, but Andrew Valdez came in and picked up Hartman by hitting a single that scored West from second. 

And that was just the start of the Bells offensive run. The second inning is when the Bells really started feeling comfortable at the plate. The Bells started putting pressure on the defense, racking up hits, and stealing numerous bases. The inning was led off by Cole Yoshida who had a single. From there Yoshida stole a base and proceeded to score off of a double by Colton Bower. Brady Reynolds put the pressure on the defense and advanced to second while moving Bower around to third base (two runners in scoring position). The offense just kept producing with Anthony Kodama hitting a single, scoring Bower, and putting runners on the corners. By the end of the inning the Bells were up 5-0 against the Riverhawks. 

While innings 3,4,5, and 6 being scoreless innings, the Bells scored one more run in the top of the seventh inning as Valdez had a single that scored Hartman. In the final inning of the game Bellingham had four doubles and had four runs scored making the score of the game 10-3.

Pitching for the Bells tonight was Daniel Paret. Paret went two innings, and faced nine batters. Paret struggled to have strikeouts tonight, but managed to get the job done without allowing any runs to score. Everett Swaim, Hunter Long, and Isaac Yeager pitched the middle six innings, having five strikeouts and only walking two batters. Ryan Orr closed for the Bells having one strikeout, one walk, and allowing one run. The pitching staff stayed strong tonight and was supported by the offense. 

The Bells face the Edmonton Riverhawks again tomorrow evening away at 7:05 P.M. looking to take game two of the series.
